Location: Midway between the bottom of your chest and belly button

Qualities: Confidence, willpower, self-esteem, personal power, empowerment, intellect, peace within self, healthy boundaries, gut feeling, independence, personality, individuality, self-worth
Physical Associations: Pancreas, liver, spleen, stomach, intestines
Signs of Imbalance: Physical – ulcers, liver disease, pancreatitis, diabetes, food allergy, gall stones. Mental – Nervousness (butterflies in your stomach), low self-esteem, fear of beginning new endeavors, worrisome, stress, anxiety, poor decision making, controlling personality
Food and Herbs to Strengthen: Yellow colored foods (lemon, banana, yellow peppers, yellow squash, spaghetti squash, corn), fermented foods (kombucha, saur kraut, pickles), grains (rice, quinoa, amaranth), sunflower seeds, ginger, peppermint, chamomile, cumin, lemon balm, lemongrass

Activities to Strengthen: Do yoga outside in the sunshine (core strengthening), diffuse essential oils using bright and citrus scents (lemon, orange, grapefruit, etc.), try a new hobby or activity, write down goals for yourself and break them down into steps to achieve, dress to impress or take the time to look and feel your best, listen to the gut feeling you receive regarding a person/situation, focus on the color yellow spiraling in the area of the solar plexus chakra, or being surrounded in glowing yellow light, take deep breaths and imagine inhaling bright yellow light and on the exhale releasing that which does not serve your solar plexus chakra, set your phone or computer background to the picture above and glance at it every so often to absorb the yellow color.
